| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
1) What is NetStorage?
NetStorage is
web access to your networked drives (H, O, N, etc.) NetStorage
gives you the ability to access files from any computer with
Internet access. Most often you will want to access files from your
school networked drive and work with them on your home computer.
|
2) How Does it Work?
After logging on, there are three
steps to using NetStorage:
1. Download the file(s)
from your “h” drive (or other networked drive) to your home computer
or other internet-connected computer.
2. Revise the file.
3. Upload the file back
to its proper location on your networked drive (probably the H
drive).
|
3) Why Must I
Download/Upload?
You download (copy a file
from the school’s computer to your home computer) a file to the
computer you are using in order to make changes. Because you want
the file on your “h” drive (or other networked drive), you must upload (copy the file from your home computer back to the
school’s computer) so the changes are available when you return the
school and access the file.
